SHOP
Technology is amazing, isn’t it? It doesn’t take much poking around on the tablet you received at the start to be able to find an application labeled “EXCHANGE” with a cute little shopping bag icon. Tapping it brings up a small shopping interface, apparently with some currency listed in the top corner. A little late-night online shopping never hurt anyone, right…?

Welcome to the shop! Through an application on their tablet, characters will be able to purchase a variety of things that will get them through the day-to-day life in the hotel, or even help ensure that they’ll live longer past then. All characters start with a balance of 20 credits, and have the opportunity to earn more throughout the week. OOCly, additional credits will be earned through activity through a rate of 10 comments to 10 credits, where credits can only be earned in multiples of 10 (i.e. 23 comments will give 20 credits). Comments do not need to be earned in any one individual thread – there will also not be a minimum comment count you need for a thread to count.
Trials threads will not be eligible. Private conversations are able to be used towards comment counts, and threads can be used for coin redemption multiple times, provided there are new comments to use. Comments to the shop will be screened.
Gifting credits to another character is allowed if the mood strikes you! There will be a function on the app to allow it to happen ICly. To use the items or gift credits to another player, please refer to the reporting page.
IMPORTANT: Please note that during Week 2, there will be a mechanic introduced where characters will be able to use their credits to forcibly swap their Main Game roles with a character of their choice. While this will not be explicit IC knowledge until some point during Week 2, characters will be able to see a greyed-out purchase option for a “Role Swap,” with no item description or value.
Shop requests are processed daily with the exception of trial days, where the shop is closed. All items will be delivered personally by the friendly robotic staff.
